By the end of the year, over 40 km of motorway in the Zaporozhye region to be repaired

Road builders keep restoring routes to the Azov coast. The works are currently carried out along the Pologi-Berdyansk motorway in the Zaporozhye region. It is planned to repair over 40 kilometers.

The old road surface has been milled, and the right-of-way is being cleared. At the section from the P-280 "Novorossiya" highway, which is part of the Azov Ring, to Berdyansk, as well as between Andreevka and Sofievka, the base layer of asphalt concrete has been laid. More than 23 km of it have already been laid.

The plans include repairing culverts, constructing bus shelters and sidewalks, and equipping the road with traffic management equipment. About 100 workers and over 50 units of machinery are employed in the operations.

The roadway is of regional significance and is part of the backbone network of highways in the Zaporozhye region. Berdyansk is part of the Azov-Black Sea cluster and has a great strategic significance. Also, in the north (if we take into account the liberated area), there are vital strategic objects for the development of the region.
