This year, over 300 km of the Luhansk People's Republic will be repaired by the Russian Highways State Company. The bulk of the work - about 80 km - is situated along the R-260 Federal Highway, from the Izvarino checkpoint to the suburb of Alchevsk.
The capital redevelopment was started ahead of schedule at the end of past year. The old road surface has already been completely milled over there. More than 70 km of the binder has been laid, and installation of curbstone started in some areas.
To recap, the R-260 was granted federal status last year; the motorway passes through Volgograd, Kamensk-Shakhtinsky and Lugansk. Experts of the Russian Highways State Company are repairing a section at the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic.
