Russian Highways State Company and Avito agreed on cooperation

The parties signed a protocol on intentions for cooperation respecting the motor traffic data across the Russian Highways State Company's turnpikes, as well as the expansion of the State Company's own operations. The event took place at the SPIEF-2024 venue. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of the Russian Highways State Company Vyacheslav Petushenko.

The document was signed by Konstantin Makiev, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Operator Activities and Development of User Services of the Russian Highways State Company, and Vladislav Fedulov, Managing Director for Interaction with Government Authorities of the Avito Company.

The starting point of cooperation will become the exchange of data on motor traffic along the Russian Highways State Company's roadnet, including turnpike arrears. The data will be available to users of the Avtotek service that accumulates the most detailed information on car records into a single report. The companies also agreed that the online car inspection service Avtotek (Avito project) will notify platform users on the activities and events of the Russian Highways State Company via its own and partner resources.

Cooperation between the parties will improve the transparency of transactions in the second-hand car market, the quality and safety of the platform user services.

Traffic down the roads of the Russian Highways State Company is growing year on year. In 2023, the overall number of trips across all the highways of the State Company exceeded 285 million. This is 18% more than in 2022. Among other things, the growing popularity of the Russian Highways routes among motorists is due to the record-holding numbers of new road sections opened in the past year, totalling over 800 kilometers. In 2024, the State Company plans to commission more than 300 km of highways.

Avito Auto is an online platform for selling cars that features about 750,000 offers of passenger cars for sale, of which 242,000 come from dealers. The Transport section is viewed by about 54% of Avito users, or approximately 31 million per month nationwide. Avito advocates the development of the Russian car market and the improvement of its transparency, therefore it regularly develops new tools depending on market requests for all its players.
