Last year, around 40 km of roads were illuminated in the DNR
The bulk of works was performed in Mariupol, where the professional crews with the
Russian Highways State Company illuminated 35 km of the street and road system.
New lampposts emerged down the central streets and near socially significant
institutions.
Moreover, lighting was also set up along the road sections Ulyanovskoye - Shramko
and Snezhnoye - Marinovka (at Kuibyshevo).
To recap, starting 2022, the Russian Highways State Company has redeveloped 82
km of the road and street system and 8 bridges in Mariupol. Owing to this effort, it
was possible to join the city districts into a single transport network, to reduce the
load on the roads in residential areas, as well as in the historic center of the city, to
launch traffic down the streets where previously it was impossible due to destroyed
road structures.
This year, apart from Mariupol, Russian Highways road builders in the DNR will have
to restore the street and road system in Makeyevka and the overpass in Yenakievo.
