Vyacheslav Petushenko examined the progress of road structure refurbishment in the LNR
During his business trip to the rejoined constituent entities, Head of the Russian Highways Vyacheslav Petushenko examined the progress of capital redevelopment of road structures in Lugansk to be restored in 2025-2026. There are three such structures in question.
Found in the state of disrepair, a bridge across the Lugan River on Zarechnaya Street located near May First Park is being brought up to standard. The structure is 76 m long. Workers are installing bored piles upon the onshore supports, while the existing structure is being dismantled.
Prior to the start of repair, the bridge provided access to Kindergarten No. 134, School No. 2, the Machine-Building Lyceum, the Philharmonic Society, and the Museum of History and Culture.
Another structure in Lugansk that undergoes refurbishment is a four-lane 75 m bridge across the Lugan River along the 395th Shakhtersk Division Street. It is situated near Lugansk-2 bus station, College of Construction, Economics and Law, Specialized Railway Hospital.
At the site, works are carried out to dismantle the existing road structure and construct a technological bridge to move construction equipment and install structures over the riverbed. A footbridge has been made for the convenience of local residents.
At the overpass across the railroad on Dachnaya Street in Bolshaya Vergunka, work is underway to build a construction camp and dismantle the span girders.
Upon completion of work at these three road structures in the capital of the LNR, a single high-quality and safe street and road system will emerge. This will provide seamless connectivity between key areas of the city, facilitating access to hospitals, schools and commuter transportation arteries.
