First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation visited Sochi

All key facilities of the Adler Bypass are being constructed on schedule or ahead of time. In Q3 2025, a positive conclusion of Glavgosexpertiza for Phase III and the entire facility is anticipated. Renat Sayfullin, Director of the Sochi branch of the Russian Highways State Company, reported this today to Valentin Ivanov, First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, during their joint business tour to the construction sites in the village of Vysokoye and in the Kudepsta neighborhood.
The delegation's visit took place in the run-up to the XI Annual Road Initiatives Forum held on May 28 in Sirius. As the State Company reported earlier, all works on the overpass being reconstructed at km 6 down the A-149 highway (which will be part of the future interchange at the Eastern Portal of the Adler Bypass) aimed at expanding the overpass to two lanes have been completed, and already in this season residents and guests of the resort can use it in both directions, on their way either to the airport or towards Krasnaya Polyana.
Upstream the Mzymta River, at the easternmost point of the Adler Bypass, the construction of a jughandle across the A-149 highway is in progress. Seven out of twelve supports of the future overpass are complete today, and the piles for the supports are already 100% driven. The jughandle is to be made of reinforced concrete and will have one-way traffic direction for access to the interchange and the old Krasnopolyanskoe highway for motorists coming from Adler. The installation of the first span is already planned for this June; not only will the jughandle across the high-speed direction of the A-149 highway provide convenience to all road users, but it will also become a decoration of the interchange from the eastern side.
At the overpass construction site near the entrance to "Kudepsta" spa resort, the Director of the Sochi branch of the Russian Highways Renat Sayfullin claimed that 86% of the piles for the five supports of the future overpass have already been driven, sheet pile wall is now being built. Moreover, 61% of the bored piles for the supports of the bridge across the Kudepsta River have been installed and almost 50% of the pile foundations for the future supports have been cemented.
The Deputy Minister carefully inspected all the key parts of the future facility and expressed his general appreciation of the pace of implementation for Phases I, II and IV of the Adler Bypass.
