On June 9 the lower house of Russian parliament considered at a plenary session the lawbill on amending the federal law On the Russian Highways State Company.
The discussion resulted in the approval of the lawbill under the first reading by the State Duma.
The lawbill specifies a number of powers of the Russian Highways State Company.
In particular, it proposes to expand the grounds for land reservation for the operations of the Russian Highways State Company.
At the same time the lawbill proposed to include into federal property the land plots leased to the state company and to introduce a possibility of reserving land plots in right-of-way boundaries for deployment of roadside servicing facilities in the interests of state company activities.
Besides, the lawbill introduced changes to the possibilities of Avtodor to act as concession grantor in relation to federal highways under construction and reconstruction and fixed the possibility of transferring non-invested funds on company account in the Federal Treasury to the next fiscal year, as well as other amendments.
