On July 9 Russian Highways State Company (Avtodor) CEO Sergei Kostin and Director General of the United Electronic Market Place (EETP) Company Anton Yemelyanov had a meeting in Avtodor headquarters.
They discussed preliminary cooperation results between the state company and the electronic market place which began in April. Avtodor was one of the first state companies to switch to such form of purchases. According to the EETP, electronic trading helps decrease the initial price an average of 13%. Due to enormous work volumes in road construction cooperation between Avtodor and EETP will yield a major economic effect.

www.roseltorg.ru 27 lots. Five of them have found the winners. At present the electronic market place has announced 19 auctions and three tenders. Most lots are of interest for construction companies and include auctions for repairs and capital overhaul of highways in trust management of the state company – M-1 Belarus and M-4 Don.
Meeting participants analyzed the first trading results and agreed further joint actions on the market which is completely new for our country. Electronic trading designers want to develop it into a powerful instrument of transparency in acquisitions. Since 2006 EETP has been running the National Acquisitions Transparency Rating which monitors activities of most important federal and regional purchasers. As a major and big player in the Russian corporate sector Avtodor State Company is interested in making its activities transparent to the maximum. Yemelyanov said the market is eyeing with major interest the first steps of the new player. The number of companies willing to bid in Avtodor auctions and tenders is constantly growing. However Kostin said there problem is that tender bidders are not always construction companies which would perform the works themselves. Instead they are often subcontractors that are incapable of proper road repairs and construction. The state company wants foreign construction companies with their technologies to come to the domestic market. The EETP director general promised to design a special package of documents in the English and German languages that will help foreign companies join the trading.
