Avtodor and Rosneft will jointly develop roadside services on Olympic highways

On July 22 the leadership of the Russian Highways State Company (Avtodor) and Rosneft oil major held a conference in Avtodor headquarters. Avtodor CEO Sergei Kostin and Rosneft Vice President Igor Romashov participated in the event.

The meeting discussed issues related to operations of roadside servicing facilities on highways of the state company. Oil company representatives were interested to know the principles and provisions used by Avtodor in the creation of roadside servicing system on its highways and the concept for the buildup of a retail trade network on federal highways M-4 Don, M-1 Belarus, and M10 Russia, Scandinavia.  

Yet in spring Avtodor announced the design of a new concept of multifunctional servicing facilities on the highways. In its turn, Rosneft is currently designing the concept of multifunctional Olympic complexes to be built for the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014.

The parties agreed to set up a taskforce to promote joint efforts of the two companies in the design of a common position regarding roadside services development on highways M-4 Don and M-1 Belarus to ensure the fulfillment of Rosneft commitments to the Organizing committee of the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi related to the creation of comfortable and safe conditions for Olympic Games participants.
