Passenger carriers agree to cooperate with Avtodor

On July 23, 2010 the Russian Highways State Company (Avtodor) and the Russian Road Transport Union (RAS) signed an agreement in Avtodor headquarters.
On July 23, 2010 the Russian Highways State Company (Avtodor) and the Russian Road Transport Union (RAS) signed an agreement in Avtodor headquarters.

Avtodor CEO Sergei Kostin and RAS President and Board Chairman Mikhail Kozlov signed the agreement.

RAS is a major public organization uniting road carriers engaged in intercity passenger traffic. RAS was founded by 48 road transport associations. At present it unites over 120 associations with close to five thousand enterprises and organization with a total workforce of two million people.

The agreement calls for joint activities of Avtodor and RAS in roadside servicing infrastructure development on the highways of the state company. Passenger carriers like all other professional road users are greatly interested to provide a broad range of high-quality services to their traveling clients.

The parties agreed to cooperate in the following avenues:
  • buildup of roadside servicing facilities in the right-of-way and road shoulders boundaries of the state company highways;
  • collection, analysis, and exchange of information including foreign experience, backgrounds, recommendations and other documents in the roadside services business;
  • holding of joint consultations, business meetings, conferences, and seminars.
