A range of bridges and overpasses on M-3 Ukraine highway will be renovated this year

This year, State Company employees are to repair bridges over the Maritsa River (481st km), the Sosnitsa River (486th km) and one bridge over railway tracks on the 425th km on M-3 Ukraine Highway in Bryansk region. In Kaluga region, on the 254th km, a bridge over railway tracks will also be renovated.

Road employees will not only replace the road way of these four facilities but also repair the bearing structures: some supports will be replaced by span beams. Gullets will be replaced, and local waste treatment plants (LWTPs) for sewage will be built according to the current environmental regulations. Works are to be completed in 2021.

The decision on the type of repairs for these structures was made after the engineering survey of these facilities. State Assessment mobile application is used to monitor man-made structures on all the highways of the State Company Avtodor. Contracting organizations experts inspect the facilities every 10 days and record all the parameters into the mobile application attaching the photos of bridges and overpasses. This provides for prompt deviation recognition and decision-making regarding repairs.

M-3 Ukraine Highway is 510 kilometers long. It crosses Moscow, Kaluga, Bryansk and Kursk regions. It is also a part of European route E101.
