Work on the construction of the earthwork and artificial structures started on the Far-Off Western Bypass of Krasnodar (FWBK)

As part of the construction of the Far-Off Western Bypass of Krasnodar (FWBK), the construction of the earthwork has begun on a number of sections on M-4 "Don" Highway with a length of 51.21 kilometers.

Simultaneously, the construction of six junctions and one bridge has started. Totally, 24 artificial structures will be constructed on FWBK, the largest of which will be the bridges across 2nd Kochety River with a length of 172.534 meters and across Ponura River with a length of 173.035 meters.

Moreover, the pipe-culverts has been laid out (in total, 42 pipe-culverts) and the amelioration systems located on agricultural land, along which the new section M-4 will pass, have been reconstructed.

The procurement of inert materials (sand, crushed stone) for the construction of the roadway is continued.

By 2024, FWBK will take the transit traffic, which now goes through the existing M-4 section within the city of Krasnodar, will improve the environmental situation, significantly increase the traffic capacity of long-distance approaches and reduce the travel time to the Black Sea.

This will be a section of the first technical category (1-B), without intersections at the same level with other roads.
