During the war, at the intersection of Minsk and Mozhaisk highways, it was the place where the most important defense center was concentrated. The monument to road workers that was opened on May 7, 2002, became a vivid reminder of the glorious deed of Russian road workers during that terrible war, a symbol of their resilience. Preserving the historical memory of the glorious deed of our people, we traditionally meet here on the eve of the Victory Day," Evgeny Nosov noted in his welcome speech.
