The documentation for territory planning of Dyurtyuli-Achit highway was approved
The routing of the new Dyurtyuli - Achit road, which will become a part of Kazan - Yekaterinburg highway (continuation of M-12), has been approved by the Federal Road Agency.
It is planned to start the development of design documentation for this new extension of M-12 highway from Kazan to Yekaterinburg by the end of 2021.
According to preliminary calculations, during the project implementation, it is planned to build 105 artificial structures and to rebuild 84 engineering communications.
To provide access to the highway from the existing road network, it is planned to build 5 transport interchanges. The total length of the new toll IB category section with 4 traffic lanes will be 275 km.
The section length within the boundaries of the Sverdlovsk Region is 43 km. Within the boundaries of the Perm Territory - 92 km. Within the boundaries of the Republic of Bashkortostan - 140 km.
It is planned to carry out a set of preparatory works (arrangement of access roads, temporary roads, and technological sites) and to relocate equipment to the site in the first half of 2022.
The implementation of the project on M-12 extension from Kazan to Yekaterinburg will unite the largest centers of economic growth in the Central, the Volga and the Ural Federal Districts. The road will pass through the territory of the republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, the Perm Territory, the Sverdlovsk Region. Motorists will be able to halve the travel time by choosing this route when traveling from Kazan to Yekaterinburg - from 14 to 7 hours.
It will also create new jobs both in the industries consuming costs directly related to the construction of the facility and in the new industries. 133 thousand jobs will be created during the construction phase, and about 120 thousand jobs during the operation phase.
