Implementation of progressive solutions in the industry was discussed at the forum "Road Construction in Russia. Innovations, Technologies, Quality"

Designing transportation infrastructure, efficient use of new materials and technologies, development of digital ecosystem in the road sector - these and other topics were in the focus of attention of the participants of the plenary session "Road construction in Russia: innovation and quality - the key vector of development", held within the framework of the forum "Road construction in Russia. Innovations, Technologies, Quality".    
Vyacheslav Petushenko, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Highways State Company, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He noted that today the industry community faces an important task - to optimize its work and offer technical solutions to reduce costs and at the same time perform a greater volume of work in a short time, ensuring a high level of quality.  
"We at the Russian Highways State Company have developed an album of standard solutions, which has become an important step towards the standardization of design practice. Amid grand-scale development of the country's road system, the use of the design book of model solutions is especially relevant and will allow to develop a uniform system in road design. It provides recommendations on technological methods, the implementation of which allows to improve the quality and durability of motorways. In shaping the document, special attention was paid to the cost of solutions, durability analysis and costs in the operational phase. This approach allows not only to speed up design and construction, but also to reduce costs throughout the life cycle of highways," said Vyacheslav Petushenko.  
The Head of Russian Highways paid special attention to the digital transformation of the industry, which today affects all aspects of the road sector - from design to assessment of the technical condition of highways and ensuring safety on the road network.  
At the same time, the efficiency of information technology implementation depends directly on personnel, so the task of attracting talented young specialists to the industry remains a constant challenge for the industry community. Vyacheslav Petushenko said that for this purpose the State Company opened a Road Class at the Gymnasium of the Russian University of Transport in September 2025. Systematic work is carried out by specialized universities, such as RUT (MIIT), MADI, SibADI and RANEPA. Students are involved in summer internships, travel to construction sites, and participate in special programs.  
In conclusion, the Head of Russian Highways wished success to all the participants of the plenary discussion: "You and I have come a long way, and all these years we have been finding the right solutions in order to fulfill all the tasks set before us by the country's leadership with honor. There is no doubt that together we will be able to cope with all new challenges. I wish the participants of today's discussion fruitful work, effective ideas and solutions for the good of the country!".
