Donetsk Bypass is 50% ready

In the Donetsk People's Republic, the Russian Highways State Company proceeds with refurbishing the Donetsk Bypass. To date, the completion level of the facility stands at 50%. The road segment is around 50 km long.

The works commenced last March, and now are carried out at three sites at once.
Thus, along a 30-plus km stretch of the R-150 federal highway, up to 90% of the base and about 80% of the wearing courses of blacktop have been installed. Currently, the contractor is placing curbstone and road signs.

The contractor is performing landscaping works at a 11 km stretch of the regional road leading to Gorlovka and at a 6 km section of the Yasinovatskoye motorway towards Donetsk Airport.

The new bypass interfaces with the R-150 federal highway that links up Belgorod, Donetsk, Lugansk, and Mariupol, and will take significant pressure off the street and road system in the DPR's capital.

It is planned to complete the operations at the facility by the end of this year
